The latest creation from Love Hultén evolves his Monte 61 concept and builds in room for Eurorack modules alongside the customised Korg Minilogue.
This has a similar vibe to the Monte 61 which featured the Korg Minilogue and the T-Rex Replicator tape delay. With this one there’s some rather nice separation between the keyboard and the synthesizer which gives it a more elegant edge. The customisation on the Minilogue is much simpler and the front-facing speaker is now hidden around the back. This gives more room to fit a Eurorack row of 84HP ready to be filled with modules.
It’s a custom commission as most of Hulténs work is and is a beautiful design that touches on those feelings of nostalgia and our enjoyment of tangible electronic instruments.
Beware of scams
Sadly I’ve recently seen Hultén’s work being used by scam websites advertising on Facebook to take money off unsuspecting synth enthusiasts. His designs are almost always exclusive, one-off commissions and there’s no way they would be selling for £27.95. The one below contains a Yamaha Reface DX which costs £269 on its own so, do not buy from these people. Whatever it is you’ll get for your money it won’t be what’s advertised.
Here’s the real deal.
