Misha Mansoor has had many signature models, and in 2019, he launched the affordable HT7 line, which included a hardtail. Now, there is an upgraded Jackson Pro Plus Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut ET7, and with that upgrade comes quite a price hike.

Ebony 7-String

This latest 7-string behemoth is available in a Metallic Black finish and features a matching ebony fretboard. The fretboard features a 20″ radius and rolled edges, and is fitted with 24 jumbo stainless steel frets and offset dot inlays.

The 26.5″ scale-length caramelized maple bolt-on neck is reinforced with graphite rods, has a heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel, and a set of Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots. It is finished in oil on the back of the neck, so it should feel smooth and fast.

Evertune Upgrade

The Evertune 7 7-string bridge is the upgrade that will make the most significant difference to this hardtail guitar design. It is fitted to the Juggernaut’s poplar body and therefore requires a significant amount of specific routing to accommodate the system.

I’m guessing this is where most of the money goes on this model, as apart from the ebony fretboard update, this ET7 is very similar to the previous HT7 models. The rest of the hardware is minimal, consisting of a set of Jackson sealed die-cast locking tuners and a pair of Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons.

Jackson MM1

A pair of Jackson MM1 pickups with open covers, which are directly mounted to the body. They are controlled by a 5-way blade switch, a single volume control, and a single tone control with a push/pull selector.

Price & Availability

They are available at Thomann, priced $1639/£1490/€1689, and the price also includes a gig bag. They are slightly higher in price compared to the standard HT7, but you are getting an Evertune bridge system, and so it all balances out.
