This PRS Private Stock Sculpture Custom 24 was ordered by Ish Guitars, and features only a piezo pickup. It comes in at only 3.9lbs, which is probably the lightest of its kind!
PRS Sculpture Custom 24
This PRS Sculpture Custom 24 is completely stripped of all electronics and pickups, leaving just a ‘sculpted’ body. It has a spruce top, mahogany body and neck, and is also completely hollow, which accounts for its super lightweight. It has no electronics, save for a piezo pickup. There are no controls of any sort, though the ‘dimples’ where controls would normally sit are still in the carved top. So you’ll have to shape all your tones using your guitar amp or effects pedals. You may also want to think about getting a volume pedal if you buy a guitar like this one.

Ish Guitars
The guitar was spec’d by Ish Guitars and comes in a stunning white finish and gold hardware, including gold frets and 10 Karat gold hollow bird inlays. It even comes strung with a set of Optima Gold strings.
I really love the colour. I have three white PRS models myself, and one of them is the now discontinued USA Dave Navarro model, which also has gold hardware. Therefore, I fully approve of their choice of aesthetics with this model.

Ultra-Lightweight
The model was listed for $13,500, and has already sold. Could this be the start of something new? This ultra-lightweight guitar is certainly a head-turning instrument, and if you want something unique then it could be the way to go.
The guitar ships with a matching white hard case
The PRS Custom Shop worked with Ish Guitar in selecting some of the lightest pieces of tonewood available. In the demo video below they talk about going even lighter in the future, so watch this space. If they do any more, we will be sure to let you know.

Pure Custom
Where the PRS Custom is concerned, you tend to get a pretty amazing sounding instrument and I would say that this Sculpture Custom 24 is no exception. I think it sounds pretty glorious in its demo video and I bet Paul Reed Smith loved this guitar once he heard it in action.
