Harley Benton DNAfx AmP10: The Ultimate Beginner’s Amp?
Affordable, versatile, portable
From the Boss’ Katana Series to the Blackstar ID:X to Fender’s Champion II, entry-level amps sound so much better these days! But if you’re really at the beginning, looking for your very first amp and don’t want to break the bank, Harley Benton’s new DNAfx AmP10 might hit the sweet spot. 10 watts, four guitar sounds, built-in effects, and a tuner for less than 100 euros? Let’s check out, what this little has to offer.
What does the Harley Benton DNAfx AmP10 Sound Like?
Weighing in at 4.5 kilograms, the DNAfx AmP10 is the little sibling to last year’s successful AmP20. This smaller size and weight make the amp much more portable, so switching between your room, the garage, and your first gigs is a breeze. And it sounds pretty good, too.

With its 10 watts RMS Class D power amp and its 6″ speaker, the little guy brings enough sonic might to make your ears tingle and your neighbors angry. The amp includes four preset sound modes for your guitar: Clean, Blues, Rock, and Lead. In addition, you can dial in four additional sound profiles of your own.
You also get four DSP-powered effects to choose from: spring reverb, hall, delay, and delay/reverb.
Is the DNAfx Amp10 good for Beginners?
Very much so! With 10 watts, four sonic presets, and the ability to dial in your very own guitar sound in its compact sound at this price, the DNAFx AmP10 could very well be the ultimate choice for beginners. With “Pregain” and “Drive”, you dial in the amount of distortion, and with the three-band EQ (Bass, Mid, Treble) you shape your guitar sound further.

But there is more! The AmP10 also comes with a built-in tuner, so even if you forget your tuner pedal (you know who you are), you’ll have a way to stay in tune. In terms of connectivity, the small amp offers the usual instrument input, and additional line input (mini jack) so you can connect an aux signal, and a headphone output.

Plus, the DNAfx Amp10 comes with Bluetooth functionality. That means that you can connect your phone wirelessly and jam to your favorite tracks online, no cables needed!
What does the DNAfx AmP10 cost?
The Harley Benton DNAfx AmP10 is available from Thomann* for $77 / £68 / €79.
