H2 Audio Helios Olympic 1100 Series Console: A Legend Returns

This month, H2 Audio has been teasing the release of the Helios Olympic 1100 Series Console, and it’s on the floor at the NAMM 2026 show!
The Helios consoles defined the golden age of Rock music recording, famously used by Led Zepellin, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Queen, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, 10cc, Deep Purple, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, AC/DC, and Cat Stevens.

One studio that became famous for its Helios console and the albums created on it was Olympic Studios in London. Back in 1969, Keith Grant of Olympic commissioned the in-house technician, Dick Swettenham, to build the first ever Helios console for Studio Two. Not long after, The Rolling Stones had one made for their mobile recording rig, and Island Records had one designed for its studio as well.
While not much is yet known about the new reissue of the H2 Audio Helios console, we speculate that it is based on the design of these early Helios consoles. As most consoles are modular by nature, it’s likely that you’ll be able to configure the new Helios console to fit the specifications of your studio.
