YouTube content creator Ryan “Fluff” Bruce has teamed up with Sterling by Music Man to launch his new Artist Series StingRay guitar. It follows the releases of his limited run models, but now there are two signature Stingray models priced at $879.99!

The new Sterling by Music Man Fluff StingRay signature model is a competitively priced guitar with some fantastic specifications, and with two colour options on launch: Rula Thumb Red (rosewood fretboard) and Amana Boat Blue (maple fretboard).
I love that this latest collaboration delivers Fluff’s signature no-nonsense rock style in a powerful, stripped-down instrument, making high-performance accessible for just $879.99.
Rock Machine
You can tell Fluff was a ’90s Seattle fan, and this signature guitar has some very tasty features. Including the classic offset double cutaway Nyatoh body, paired with a smooth roasted maple neck, a hardtail bridge, and locking tuners—all working in harmony to deliver a truly robust feel under your hands.
It gives off a no-frills, rock machine vibe, and that, for me, is the strength in its design, the old ‘all killer, no filler’ kind of guitar you can rely upon.
Duncan-Loaded
Being a YouTube content creator (he gets to play a lot of guitars) and full-time rock machine has helped Fluff hone in on his choice of pickups for his signature model. They come factory fitted with a rock-solid choice of the Seymour Duncan JB Jr in the neck position and a JB Trembucker at the bridge. With a single volume, tone, and pickup toggle switch to control them both.
Factory Tuning
These guitars come tuned to Drop C# with a set of Ernie Ball Beefy Slinkys strings, as that is how Fluff sets up his guitars. Again, he has thought clearly about what he needs and what he feels will work well for guitar players, and it shows.
Verdict
I have zero complaints about this new signature model, and I feel Sterling by Music Man has listened to Fluff, and together they have created a simple, rock-solid, and versatile guitar which will appeal to many players. Plus, that Amana Boat Blue model is looking at me suggestively.
