The new EVE Audio EXO series features digital connectivity, and there’s a software control app in the pipeline for immersive audio users.
German speaker manufacturer EVE Audio has always created innovative monitoring solutions that allow home studio users to enjoy the same level of quality as professionals. Now, with the new EXO series, the company aims to provide you with an easily scalable, immersive monitoring system.
EVE Audio EXO
The EXO series consists of four different models:
- EXO 24 (4-inch, 280W, 2200 Hz Crossover)
- EXO 25 (5-inch, 280W 2200 Hz Crossover)
- EXO 27 (7-inch, 280W, 2200 Hz Crossover)
- EXO 28 (8-inch, 280W, 2200 Hz Crossover)
The 2-way design uses a Precision AirMotion Tweeter (PAMT) that ensures a wide stereo image and sweet spot with its GDC Waveguide technology. Meanwhile, the coated aluminium woofer cones use an airflow-optimized voice coil design that provides precise frequency reproduction all the way down the range.
On the rear panel, there is analogue connectivity for balanced and unbalanced signals, as well as 192kHz 24-bit S/PDIF I/O, and an Ethernet port for firmware updates and linking your system with the EVE Control Software, which is planned for release soon. The software app will give you full real-time control of each individual speaker with a Smart Knob EQ, and a Parametric EQ to make adjustments.
Overall, the EXO series is an exciting addition to the EVE Audio range, and it’s priced reasonably enough so as to make configuring your own immersive setup a far less daunting prospect. Also, the potential of a software app with future updates adds value in the long term.
