New LTD Models for 2020

Billed as Phase 1 on the ESP website, these new LTD models all look pretty stunning! They include the return of some old favourites that have been discontinued for a few years. Upgraded and re-designed for 2020, these guitars all look pretty sweet and could turn out to be winners for the company.

Phoenix Deluxe 1000

I love the LTD Phoenix Deluxe 1000! Unfortunately, it has been discontinued for a few years now. I think that’s a real shame as this is a stunning guitar for the money. I hunted high and low for my one when they first came out and it is still one of my favourite thru-neck guitars to this day.

Now I may have to buy another one! The new See-Thru Black Cherry version with Fishman Fluence pickups looks beautiful! There is also a LTD Deluxe Phoenix-1000  in Vintage White with Seymour Duncan Phat Cat single coil pickup in the neck and Seymour Duncan Custom Humbucker in the bridge.

LTD Viper-1000

The new LTD Viper-1000 returns in See-Thru Purple Sunburst or Tiger Sunburst. This model has a set of direct-mount Seymour Duncan Sentient in the neck and Pegasus in the bridge passive pickups. They are also splittable via a handy push-pull control.

LTD EC-1000

The ESP LTD EC-1000 is already one of LTD’s most popular single-cut designs. Now the model gets a minor cosmetic makeover, coming in either a Blue Natural Fade and Violet Andromeda. There’s also a EC-1000T in Black Natural Burst.

As above you get the Seymour Duncan Sentient/Pegasus pickup set and TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece with the Blue Natural Fade model. With the EC-1000 Violet Andromeda you get a set of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker active pickups. The guitar has an Alnico in the neck position and a Ceramic in the bridge, both with a push-pull control to activate the second voicing.

LTD M-1000HT and M-1007H

The new LTD M-1000HT and the seven-string M-1007H models are both hard tail guitars with burled poplar tops. They come in a Black Natural Fade finish and feature a set of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers.

LTD M-HT Black Metal and TD M-7HT Baritone Black Metal

The black LTD M-HT Black Metal and 7-string LTD M-7HT Baritone Black Metal both look perfect for crushing, doom-laden riff work. They come loaded with a single Seymour Duncan Blackened Black Winter humbucker in the bridge position. Expect definition and high-gain tones from these models.

LTD H-1001FR

The latest version of the LTD H-1001FR comes factory-equipped with a Floyd Rose locking trem system and a set of the direct mount Seymour Duncan Sentient (neck) and Pegasus (bridge) humbucking pickups. You can now get the Black Natural Burst finish for this model in 2020, which will look pretty swish in its new colour scheme.

There are also some details of two new models called the H3-1000 and H3-1000FR over on the ESP page. These new shapes have shorter horns and the H3-1000 is a set-thru design.
