Looks like Ernie Ball Music Man has some hot colours available for September. This month’s Ernie Ball Music Man September Ball Family Reserve collection includes a Cutlass HSS in Lime, a Cutlass HSS in Lemon, a JP6 in Cinnamon Shift, a Mariposa in Trans Black, and a Bongo 5 HH bass in Satin Honey Burst.
Mariposa in Trans Black
The Mariposa comes in a Trans Black finish on an Okoume body with a nice figured maple top. The neck is roasted maple with an ebony fingerboard, which has cream binding and pearlescent block marker inlays. It comes loaded with a set of Ernie Ball Music Man humbucking pickups with chrome covers.
The model will be limited to 40 pieces worldwide.
Cutlass HSS in Lime or Lemon
This brightly coloured Cutlass is finished in what EBMM calls its custom Lime finish. It has a basswood body and a maple neck fingerboard, with a matching Lime painted headstock. Or, you can opt for the custom Lemon finish, which comes with an ebony fretboard and a black headstock, with gold Music Man decals instead.
Each guitar has an Ernie Ball Music Man Floyd Rose locking tremolo bridge and a DiMarzio Axis bridge humbucker.
There are only 40 Lime and 35 Lemon of the Cutlass models being made available worldwide.
JP6 in Cinnamon Shift
The JP6 has a basswood body with a custom Cinnamon Metallic Color Shift finish and matching headstock. Elsewhere you have a set of DiMarzio Liquidfire and Crunch Lab pickups, with a push volume pot for up to 20db boost .
This model is limited to just 50 pieces worldwide.
Bongo 5 HH in Satin Honey Burst
Last up we have a Bongo 5 HH in a Satin Honey Burst finish, with a matching painted neck and headstock. The Honduran mahogany body has dual humbucking pickups that use black neodymium magnets. The matching hardware is all-black throughout, including the proprietary, ergonomic, lightweight tuners.
This one’s limited to only 60 pieces worldwide.
