It’s taken two years, but the elysia channex studio is finally here! The highest of high-end recording channel strips is now available for pre-order.
The German audio innovator elysia never had any trouble thinking big or bold with its designs. If we look back to the company’s early days, the first piece of gear they brought to market was the over $10,000 alpha compressor.

The first time we saw the channex was back in 2024, when the first prototype was unveiled at the NAMM show. Now, what seems like lightyears later, it’s finally in production and available for pre-order. As the name suggests, the channex studio is a comprehensive recording solution covering every aspect of signal processing, routing, digital recall, and even monitoring from a single unit.
The DC-coupled preamp stage provides 64 dB of gain for any microphone, and its Shell Precision Metering allows ultra-precise input monitoring. Tone sculpting on the channex is extensive and suitable for recording or mixing applications, with a 4-band dynamic EQ with flexible per-band dynamics shaping and variable Q.
The dynamics section is equally impressive, with an intuitive compressor and soft clip limiter that can be used in tandem for the most musical and natural shaping possible, regardless of how much gain reduction is happening. As you would expect, you also get elysia’s unique gain reduction limiting function, so the compression stays within a predefined range.
At the end of the chain, you have a flexible harmonics section for adding a range of colours and textures, and a fully-featured monitor section with three mixes, two headphone outputs, and integrated reverb for tracking. The finishing touch is the plugin interface, which gives you flexible control, recall, which is also accessed from the front panel, and access to the routing options and processing order.
