E-Drum Kit From Gewa: What’s Included
This e-drum kit from Gewa not only offers top quality drum pads and G9 workstations for samples. It’s also very portable and easy to set up. So if you’re a gigging drummer who travels a lot, this could be very intriguing.
You get an 18″ bass drum with a bass drum riser, three 10″ tom pads, a 12″ snare drum, a 16″ crash cymbal pad with 3 zones, an 18″ ride cymbal pad (also with 3 zones) and two 14″ hi-hat cymbal pads with a hi-hat stand. For easy setup, there is also a rack included, the DWe 3-Side Hybrid Rack.
All the toms, snare, cymbals and e-drum module are mounted on the rack, so it’s easy to set up and take down night after night.
Remo Heads And G9 Module
For added realism, each drum pad comes with double-layered Remo heads. But the star of the Gewa e-drum kit is the G9 module, Gewa’s flagship e-drum module. It features a massive 10″ touch screen, 128 gigabytes of internal memory, 40 drum kits for just about every genre with high-resolution multi-layer samples recorded at the Funkhaus Berlin studios.
The module also comes with over 20 different effects, including a variety of realistic reverbs and 9 different multi-effects. It also offers both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for wirelessly connecting audio, updating firmware and uploading your own samples. Connecting the module from Gewa’s e-drum kit via USB (USB-B port), you can choose between USB-MIDI or USB-Audio, where the module acts as an audio interface.
The module offers 14 trigger inputs (fully compatible with third-party pads), 8 audio outputs for each drum or cymbal pad, a pair of monitor outputs as well as direct outputs, a dedicated headphone output and a pair of 5-pin MIDI connectors.
