Death By Audio from Brooklyn has unleashed their most ambitious pedal yet: the Crossover Fuzz. It combines a lethal fuzz with dual resonant filters!
Crossover Fuzz: Two Fuzz Beasts
The core of the Crossover Fuzz is its innovative dual-band crossover design. It separates your signal into two distinct frequency bands—a fat, dark, droning fuzz for the lows and a biting, growling fuzz for the highs.
This allows you to apply different levels of gain and volume to each band, creating a massive range of tones. Imagine a bubbling, sludgy bass tone with a slight, high-end sizzle, or a searing lead that snarls with resonant mids.
Unprecedented Control and Connectivity
Each of the two fuzz bands features independent Gain and Volume controls, giving you granular control over your sound. The large “Freq” knob lets you dial in the crossover point, while the “Resonance” control adds a layer of brutal hiss and self-oscillating squeal.
The pedal’s versatile dual inputs and outputs are going to make it a lot of fun to play with. They allow for complex routing and stereo setups, whether you’re going mono-to-stereo, stereo-to-stereo, or even stereo-to-mono.
