Deals Of The Week: beyerdynamic M 70 PRO X

Need an affordable microphone for home recording, podcasting, or streaming? The M 70 PRO X is a cardioid broadcast-style dynamic microphone built for the modern recording artist and content creator. This end-address mic is easy to set up and use, and you can get great results on sources like speech, vocals, acoustic guitar, and guitar amp cabinet.

The M 70 PRO X has a precisely tuned proximity effect zone, designed to capture sources cohesively with consistent frequency range and well-articulated dynamics. This means that if you get your gain settings right, you’re almost guaranteed good quality recordings from a sonic perspective.

However, being a low-output device with a nominal impedance rating of 350 ohms, you will need a Cloudlifter or similar preamp to boost the signal. Also included in the bundle is a shock mount and a pop filter, which saves you the expense of having to get these. Overall, the M 70 PRO X is a great option for the price.

Deals Of The Week: AIAIAI TMA-2 Studio Wireless+

The idea of wireless headphones used to be an outlandish prospect for one main reason: the potential latency. However, the Danish headphone manufacturer, AIAIAI, solved this problem with its own 2.4 GHz system that delivers only 16 ms of latency. With the TMA-2 Studio Wireless+, you have a range of connectivity options to suit different applications.

To use the W+ Link, simply connect to the included X01 Wireless+ Transmitter, and this will provide up to 16 hours of low-latency wireless usage time. Meanwhile, the built-in Bluetooth 5 lets you monitor multiple devices for up to 80 hours. Naturally, the latency on Bluetooth signal transmission is significantly greater, but this is still a useful feature to have.

What’s more, the TMA-2 Studio Wireless+ can also be wired up like traditional headphones, so you can use them like you would in any recording situation. Overall, the TMA-2 Studio Wireless+ is an exciting addition to any home studio, allowing new creative freedom, especially if you like to access different instruments around your studio in one recording session.

Also, the mortise and tenon neck joint produces a wealth of pleasing low-end resonance that adds necessary weight to the sound.
