Pulsar Audio 1178 compressor plug-in on summer sale
The 1178 is known as a more transparent-sounding and versatile variant of the famed Urei 1176 FET compressor. By default, the 1178 has a fast and bright character with an extended attack range. In addition to a very convincing analog emulation, the plug-in offers a sidechain equalizer and four types of saturation. Also new is the metering system to help you keep an eye on signal levels. There’s also Mid / Side processing, lookahead peak detection, and 8x oversampling. Lastly, the 1178’s user interface is fully resizable, and loading a mono instance of the compressor automatically shows a single channel view instead of two. At the discounted price, this mix and mastering tool becomes quite attractive.
