IK Multimedia Syntronik on sale

The list of included synthesizers is sure to put a big smile on the face of any synth enthusiast. The Minimoog, OB-Xa, Jupiter, Prophet, CS80, ARP 2600 and PPG Wave are all included, and that’s just the beginning. Syntronik also brings the sounds of the Alesis Andromeda, Moog Taurus, Oberheim SEM and various vintage string machines to your DAW, as well as the Roland Juno and JX series and even the Yamaha SY99 for some FM goodness. For a full list of the 38 included synths, take a look at the IK Multimedia website.

Syntronik uses a combination of samples and analogue modeling to capture the sound of these legends. According to IK Multimedia, they sampled multiple round robins of single oscillators and oscillator combinations. These are then processed by a modeling-based filter section, to give you lots of flexibility for creating your own sounds. The DRIFT technology is designed to emulate the behaviour of analogue oscillators. All in all, Syntronik contains over 70000 samples in a 50 GB library.

The extensive effects section adds even more sound shaping options. Syntronik features 38 effects from the Amplitube and T-RackS series, including various amp simulations, distortion effects, dynamic processors, EQs and modulation effects, as well as reverb, delay and a filter.

With these features, IK Multimedia Syntronik comes as close to the feeling of owning a room full of synths as anything. Well, except for the real thing, maybe!

In the Thomann page it says there are 17 synths included, not 38 (???)

      Hi LLL,
the library contains samples of 38 vintage synths, bundled together in 17 software instruments. For example, there’s one instrument that contains the samples of the Jupiter-8, Jupiter-6 and Jupiter-4. Another one contains all 5 vintage string machines that are part of the collection. I’m a fan of Arturia’s V-Collection, but DAAAAMN! I can’t pass this up. Just wish I knew about it sooner.
