Cort KX600 Infinite: High-Gain Metal Axe With A Boutique Vibe
Classic black and eye-catching orange!

New year, new KX! With the two Cort KX600 Infinite models, the Korean manufacturer shows what’s possible for ultra-modern metal guitars. Boutique design meets high-quality series production. Let’s take a closer look.
Cort KX600 Infinite
Cort’s KX series is one of the Korean manufacturer’s most popular ones. For years, they have been delivering impressive update after impressive update. The Cort KX600 Infinite is simply the logical next step in this direction. Here are the details:

The base is a basswood body, available in either Black Satin or Orange Crush Satin. The latter is particularly eye-catching, somewhat reminiscent of the new iPhone 17 Pro, I’d say. However, the real highlight of the Cort KX600 Infinite is its neck-through-body construction. The continuous 5-strip neck made of roasted maple and walnut is designed to provide absolutely outstanding resonance and it just looks marvellous.

The fretboard made of roasted maple also contributes to the guitar’s endless sustain, but above all to its feel. The dimensions of this ST model remain classic: 25.5-inch scale length, 43 mm nut width (Graph Tech Black TUSQ nut), and a 15.75-inch fretboard radius.
Jumbo Frets and Locking Tuners
What’s more, you also get 24 stainless steel jumbo frets on each Cort KX600 Infinite. The black 3+3 headstock also comes with locking tuners for easy re-stringing.

I have to say, especially the black model with its matching headstock has a wonderfully mean look. In terms of hardware, you get a hardtail bridge with string guide through the body, which allows rock-solid tunings even in the lowest sludge and doom tunings.
Fishman Fluence Modern
As for the two pickups, both models come with two Fishman Fluence Modern 3 humbuckers each. They rock, they roll, but still sound extremely defined and clear so this guitar might even have a place in classic rock or shoegaze. Opinions are likely to differ, however, when it comes to the layout of the electronics.

Because Cort has equipped the KX600 Infinite with just a single volume control, and that’s it. In other words, if you often like to switch between the neck and bridge pickups, you’ll have to rely on a single output volume. A three-way switch allows for switching and combining the pickups as well. The Fishmans can also be switched to a second voicing using a push/pull control.
How much do the Cort KX600 Infinite models cost?
The two versions of the Cort KX600 Infinite in black* and in orange* are available from Thomann for €999.00 each. They will be available for delivery in one to two weeks.
