Catalinbread has just added the Sabbra Cadabra to its limited edition Gallery Series of pedals, with a sweet graphic by Matt Stikker. The pedal attempts to bottle that Tony Iommi tone and distill it into one compact unit, perfect for all your Sabbath-esque riffs. This new version follows on from the recent Naga Viper Gallery Series version, which also has a great new look for 2020.
Gallery Series Sabbra Cadabra
This new Catalinbread Gallery Series edition of the Sabbra Cadabra brings dirty doom tones to your pedalboard, and is based on the sound of Black Sabbath in their prime. Clearly inspired by Tony Iommi’s iconic guitar tone, this stompbox is perfect for any would-be doom lovers that want low-down dirty riffs and ’70s amp stack tones, but don’t want to lug around a massive Laney amp stack to achieve it.
Catalinbread is donating 10 percent of Sabbra Cadabra sales to the Oregon Food Bank until the end of 2020. Which means that not only can you rock out with this pedal, but you’ll also be helping out, which is always a good thing.

Vol 4
With controls for Presence, Gain, Range and Volume, the Sabbra Cadabra is easy enough to use. I like the nod to Black Sabbath with the Volume control being labelled Vol 4, a subtle but nice touch for fans. The pedal itself has been around for a few years, and every time I have played through one, it has been a lot of fun. But I must admit, I do prefer this new Matt Stikker graphic compared to the original orange/red version.
