The VOCLAS is equipped with a 32-bit audio processing engine that features neural network technology with low latency, for highly responsive vocal processing that fits into your live performance workflow. Within this system, you can stack up to 12 different effects at once with 9 specially-designed vocal processing modules, guitar effects, and amp simulation.
With the intelligent harmony feature, you can create up to three layers of harmonies, and the guitar tracking engine allows the harmonies to follow the chord progressions as you play them, for a cohesive, performance-oriented workflow. What’s more, the harmonies can also use MIDI or the VOCLAS generative neural algorithm, which uses vocal analysis and predictive harmony adjustment.
As a guitar-playing vocal performer, the dedicated guitar effects chain and instrument thru output means that you don’t need to carry as much gear to your next gig. The vocal chain includes a digitally controlled mic preamp, a de-esser, a noise gate, a compressor with five modes, including LA-2A and 1176-style algorithms, EQ, pitch correction, and harmony generation.
There are also looping and vocal synth effects with talkbox, vocoder, and throat singing emulations, and a sample-based synthesizer, as well as delay and reverb effects. Meanwhile, the guitar side offers pre-processing for electric and acoustic guitars, amp and cab simulations, a feedback control feature, and a range of stompbox-style effects.
The inclusion of phantom power is neat because some vocal pedals leave this out, and it’s essential for condenser mics, making the VOCLAS as useful in studio as it is on stage. Also, the accompanying VOCLAS App for iOS and Android allows you to fine-tune presets in real time and manage your presets for your next gig.
