The Yamaha DXR mk3 Series and the accompanying DXS mk3 offer powerful sound reinforcement for musicians, mobile DJs, and event organizers.
The new DXR and DXS series speakers offer a significant technological jump in amplification power, DSP, and connectivity compared to the previous generation. What’s more, their passive counterparts, the CXR and CXS, have also been upgraded to the mk3 edition.

The DXR mk3 uses a 2-way bass reflex design powered by 1000W RMS Class-D amplifiers, with three different models including 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch versions with FIR-X tuning™ crossover filters at 1.8 kHz. The DXR has a range of DSP modes, all running at 96 kHz, for different applications like front-of-house, speech, live music, and DJing.
On each speaker, there are two channels of XLR-combo inputs for mic and line signals, as well as Bluetooth connectivity with mono and stereo linking. You can also bypass the DSP with the THRU/OUTPUT channels, which adds routing flexibility. The speakers can be adjusted via the LCD panel, while the D-Remote mobile app allows you to manage up to 10 speakers simultaneously.
To extend the low-end, the DXS mk3 range of subwoofers comes in three different sizes (12-, 15-, and 18-inch), going down to 32 Hz for the 18-inch model. These powerful bass bins use plywood enclosures and have 1250W RMS of Class D amplification, with two D-XSUB DSP processing modes including NORMAL and XTENDED LF to widen the bass response even further.
Overall, the DXR series now offers improved scalability, and there are intelligent features like feedback suppression and an internal accelerometer that detects the speaker orientation and changes the DSP profile automatically. The system is also easier to set up and manage than ever, whether you’re doing a small event or larger-scale productions.
