Numark MixTrack Go: Top Features Make This Controller an Incredible Deal
Start your DJing journey with Numark MixTrack Go, a controller with a surprising amount of great features like Stems control, transition effects, and capacitive touch jog wheels – at a surprisingly affordable price.
Numark MixTrack Go
It’s pretty amazing the amount of DJ power that you can get now for very little money. Case in point: Numark’s new MixTrack Go. Part of the MixTrack series of controllers, it’s ridiculously affordable, coming in at less than $100, but it’s also got an incredible amount of features packed into its slim form factor. And you can use it with your phone so you don’t even need to own a computer. There’s never been a better time to become a DJ.

Two-Deck Controller
MixTrack Go is a two-channel DJ controller. That means you can play up to two tracks at the same time. Each deck gives you a jog wheel to control the playback of the song. And get this: the wheels have capacitive touch to help you understand what’s happening with the music.

The two decks are also non-mirrored, meaning the layout of the controls is identical across both sides, with the pitch control always on the right of the wheel and the button arrangement the same. This means that you can develop muscle memory and apply it to both channels. Nice.
Stems Control and Other Top Features
The new controller offers up-to-date features, the kind that you usually don’t find in DJ devices at this price range. The big ticket one is Stems control, with the ability to separate tracks into vocals, drums, bass, and instrumental melodies on the fly, with dedicated Acapella and Instrumental buttons on hand as well.

Additionally, the controller includes transition Fade FX that you apply via the crossfader. Of course, there are traditional effects as well that are accessible via the performance pads. You also get a filter per channel to sweep lows and highs, plus a low-mode EQ as well.
Connectivity and Compatibility
As mentioned before, MixTrack Go can work with your phone, either iOS or Android. You can connect it with your phone cable or use Bluetooth to send MIDI information to your device. Of course, it also works with a computer. The controller is bus-powered as well, so you can power it from your device or USB power brick and take it on the go.
Numark’s controller works with a variety of DJ software. It comes with licenses for Serato DJ Lite, Algoriddim djay Pro, and Algoriddim djay for iOS and Android). It also supports compatibility for Serato DJ Pro and VirtualDJ if you decide to pay for a subscription.
MixTrack Go includes a built-in audio interface with main and headphone outputs.
Pricing and Availability
Numark is on a tear lately. With the also just-released Party Mix III, the long-running DJ company now offers a number of solid and affordable tools for the aspiring and/or budget-minded DJ. I love it.
MixTrack Go is available now from Thomann* for $85 / £76 / €89.
