This latest update drops three legendary BOSS models. First up is the PW-2 Power Driver: Gritty, rough-grained distortion. Perfect for building a high-gain “wall of sound” or dialling in a refined crunch. Next is the XT-2 Xtortion: Bold, high-gain distortion with massive midrange control. Use the Contour and Punch knobs to scoop mids for heavy riffs, or boost focus to cut through a dense mix.

AI FX Builder

Chaos Audio, the brand behind the Stratus multi-FX pedal, has entered the AI music space with AI FX Builder. This new platform allows musicians to generate custom guitar tones instantly using simple text prompts.

Following recent AI releases from Positive Grid and FUKKAUDIO, Chaos Audio’s tool turns descriptions into unique, usable effects.

“Now, your gear listens to you, not the other way around… The platform is not an artist. It doesn’t generate music or replace creativity. You describe what you want, design the interface, and decide if it’s good enough.”Landon McCoy, Chaos Audio Founder & CEO

Tone Building

Unlike locked-down AI tools, AI FX Builder gives users full access to the underlying FAUST code.

Total Ownership: Musicians retain unlimited rights to the code, and Flexibility: You can edit, rewrite, or use the code on your own hardware and in commercial products.

Pricing

AI FX Builder is available via monthly subscriptions or pay-as-you-go packs. Subscriptions start from $9.99/mo (20 builds), and One-Time Packs start from $9.99 (10 builds).

Virtual Ozzy!

Jack Osbourne has hit back at critics questioning the family’s plans to create a digital version of his late father, rock icon Ozzy Osbourne. Responding to fans who called the project “freaky” and unethical, Jack insisted the technology is far more sophisticated than just “hooking up an image of my dad to ChatGPT.”

HYPERREAL

The Osbournes are partnering with tech company HYPERREAL, the team behind the Stan Lee hologram, to build a complete digital double encompassing Ozzy’s voice, image, and movement.

During a recent YouTube livestream, Jack Osbourne strongly dismissed concerns that the project would be a cheap imitation, promising that it would be highly complex and handled with the utmost taste. “It’s not gonna be fucking lame… It’s gonna feel very real,” he stated, reassuring fans that the digital recreation is far more sophisticated than a simple AI clone.

Ozzy Approved

Furthermore, Jack revealed that the Prince of Darkness himself approved the idea before his passing last July, noting that they had discussed it together and that he knew his father would be genuinely excited about it.

The cutting-edge technology behind the project opens up endless possibilities for the rock icon’s legacy, offering an almost “drag-and-drop” utilisation for future media.

Creators will eventually be able to use simple text prompts to seamlessly cast the digital version of Ozzy into commercials and new projects. Ultimately, Jack views this as a way to achieve a form of immortality for his father, stating that Ozzy will now exist digitally as himself for as long as we have computers.

Could we also see a virtual Randy Rhoads? It would give audiences around the world the chance to see them both in action once more. I get the feeling that fans will have mixed feelings about this project, as Ozzy was loved worldwide, and his fans are very loyal to the Prince of Darkness.
