Marshall Hendrix
Marshall has just announced the new Hendrix 60th Anniversary limited-edition bundle, which follows last month’s similar Sex Pistols limited-run half-stack.
The amp itself is a 100-watt hand-wired 1959JMH Super Lead model, and with no master volume, it will be loud! Powered by four EL34 power tubes and three ECC83 preamp tubes, it should offer the raw power of a vintage Marshall Plexi-style amp, so expect classic rock tones and more.
The amp is bundled with a matching 1960AHW angled 4 x 12-inch cabinet with a set of four Celestion G12H-30 speakers. Both the amp head and the cabinet have the purple splatter finish, along with custom Jimi Hendrix/Jim Marshall badges, making for a collectible set as part of a limited run.
The Fuzz!
The bundle also includes a Dunlop JHF1 Fuzz Face finished in the same purple splatter, with the input labeled 1966 and the output labeled 2066, denoting the 60th anniversary. It is a silicon fuzz face circuit, so closer to the models Hendrix would have used in the latter part of his career.
Who is it for?
This is aimed at collectors and Hendrix/Marshall fans. Though it is pretty expensive, it’s essentially just a new finish and a nameplate. The JHF1 Fuzz Face is part of the bundle and not sold separately, so it has some exclusivity built into it.
At 100 watts with no master volume, this Marshall all-tube, hand-wired half-stack is impractical for most guitarists in 2026 anyway. So it really is for bragging rights and collectors.
