A Multitude of Magnificent Moogs! – Deals of the Week
Everyone should own at least one Moog synth, and right now, there are some great deals on Moog synths to be had, so grab a bargain and treat your ears to the wonderful sound of a Moog!
Joe Richardson, Moog Music’s CEO, has gone on record this week and stated that there are three new Moog synths coming within the next 12 months and that they will become instant classics. A bold statement indeed! But until then, here are some great deals on some recent Moog releases!
Moogy Deals of the Week
Moog Muse
I remember the day I first clapped eyes on the Moog Muse. It was in a basement studio, hidden away in Berlin during Superbooth 2024, and my Gearnews colleagues and I had been invited to a private one-on-one with the new Moog polysynth! The excitement was palpable!

Better still, Lisa Bella Donna was there, setting up for her performance that evening at the special private event to announce the Muse. Lisa is a dear friend, and she treated us to a very special, one-off demonstration. it was a real treat!
And then they let us at it, playing around with it for an hour that seemed like a minute. It was a truly inspiring synth that felt like an instant hit. And I’ve wanted one ever since. Sadly, the amazing PolyBrute 12 reached my studio first and I’m struggling to find the space and funds to get the Muse.
However, with this deal, the possibility just got a bit stronger! Currently at %10 off the RRP, you can grab a Muse for €3,149, which is a pretty reasonable price for what many regard as their finest polysynth in some time!
Moog Geddy Lee Minimoog Model D
You don’t get any more iconic than the Minimoog Model D, the synth credited with starting it all as far as portable desktop synths are concerned. A beautifully simple design, solid, powerful and iconic in every way.

Last year, a very special edition was released, bearing the moniker of one of rock’s great legends, Geddy Lee of Rush. Bearing the Rush logo and finished in a shade of red synonymous with the band, this very special unit both looked and sounded great.
Featuring a modified VCA circuit and bundled with a 10″ record featuring ‘Xanadu’ and ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ by Rush, as well as a numbered and hand-signed certificate of authenticity, poster and handbook, this is a very special, limited edition of the greatest synth ever made.
And if you fancy being the owner of this gorgeous piece of handcrafted awesomeness, you can currently get it for 13% off its RRP, weighing in at a very reasonable €5,190! When they’re gone, they’re gone!
Moog Messenger
Released around the same time as the Geddy Lee Minimoog, the Messenger represented the first Moog synthesizer to emerge in the new inMusic era of ownership, the company having been rescued by Jack O’Donnell’s conglomerate.

Many were fearful of a drop in quality when the Messenger was announced, but those fears were very quickly allayed as the Messenger proved to be a Moog for the masses. A solid monosynth with all of the hands on controls one expects of such a thing, the Messenger had ‘that’ sound in spades.
Best of all, it was very affordable for a Moog synth and incredibly fun to play. Not only was it a great sounding, immensely playable synth, it also came with a superb editor and librarian that made for seamless integration into any type of present-day set up.
I fell in love with it immediately and bought one as soon as I got home from seeing it at Superbooth 25! Honestly, if you’ve been hankering after the Moog sound, you can not do any better than this when it comes to bang for your buck.
And you will need fewer bucks than normal as the Messenger is currently 12% lower than RRP, clocking in at a mere €619! Thank me later!
Moog Grandmother
Before the Muse and Messenger, the matriarchal synths of Asheville were very much flavour of the month with many synth heads. The semi-modular Grandmother, with its colourful user interface, was bold in both looks and sound.

Once again featuring a classic, easy-to-understand interface, the Grandmother was a small but mighty synth that blended the old and the new and that could easily fit into a regular studio setup as well as be a perfect addition to a Eurorack rig.
Completely playable without the need to patch anything, this synth is driven by a great arpeggiator and sequencer, but really comes alive when you start patching and experimenting with it and other things that you can attach via the copious MIDI and CV/Gate connections.
The Grandmother has been around for some time now and yet still remains a firm favourite with many. It’s fun, flexible and can even accept external audio inputs that can be processed via its Moog 905-based spring reverb! It’s currently discounted down to just €1,059!
