Neumann has expanded its line of studio subwoofers with five new models, including three different 10-inch and dual ten-inch options with DSP and two versions with AES67 connectivity. While the new KH 805 II is designed for stereo monitoring configurations, the other four new models are all created for immersive mixing setups.

Building on the foundation laid by the KH 750 DSP, the KH 805 II offers almost twice the output and low-end headroom, perfect alongside the KH 120 II, KH 150, or KH 310 studio monitor systems. The KH 805 II uses a long-throw 10-inch ELFF (Extremely Linear Force Factor) driver with intuitive limiting for protection and low-frequency response all the way down to 16 Hz.

The next model in the range is the KH 810 II and its AES67-equipped counterpart, the KH 810 II AES67, with its redundant audio network capability and multichannel distribution of signals. Because it’s an immersive subwoofer, the KH 810 has multichannel D-Sub connectivity for all the necessary inputs and outputs.

Finally, sitting at the top of the range is the KH 870 II dual 10-inch immersive subwoofer and its respective AES67 version. With double drivers, the KH 870 II is driven by 360 W of amplification, making it ideal for cinematic sound design and mixing applications that require precise extended low-end reproduction.

All of the new models in the KH series are constructed with wooden cabinets, using a front-ported bass reflex design. What’s more, they all reach down the frequency range to 16 Hz, with an 80 Hz crossover point, and all DSP systems run at 32-bit resolution.

Overall, the new KH series subwoofers are advantageous for both stereo and immersive applications, with the same technology behind the driver designs, so you can expect the same level of performance from all models.
