Arturia KeyLab Essential 88 mk3
The Arturia KeyLab Essential 88 mk3 is the new flagship 88-key semi-weighted controller in the KeyLab Essential range next to the 49 and 61.
Like the previous model, the KeyLab Essential 88 mk3 provides comprehensive DAW and MIDI control with plug-and-play ease. In addition, you get compatibility and integration with all major DAW systems, including FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, and Bitwig Studio.
A Full 88-key Performance Controller
Apart from its larger, 88-key semi-weighted keybed, the KeyLab Essential 88 mk3 provides an intuitive and easily accessible interface at a competitive price. Now, with a larger 2.5-inch LCD screen and four context-dependent buttons.
Besides the five dedicated DAW control scripts, there is also support for MCU and HUI protocols. This means that you can set the controller up with virtually any DAW on the market.
In addition, the system offers an improved level of integration with Arturia’s software instrument plug-ins and you get a range of bundled software. This includes Ableton Live Lite, Arturia Analog Lab Pro, UVI Model D, NI The Gentleman, and more.
When playing, you have access to creative features like the Arpeggiator, which has different presets, as well as Scale mode, Chord Play mode, and a Hold function.
Moreover, there are 2 banks of RGB backlit trigger pads for finger drum programming, launching clips, or custom-assigned functions. Connectivity includes USB-C, MIDI out, and pedal input, while the 9 faders and transport controls keep you on top of basic DAW operations.
Pricing and availability:
The KeyLab Essential 88 mk3 is currently available for order from Thomann. The white edition ships towards the end of February, while the black version will follow midway through March.
