In its latest version, Nuendo offers post-production users a range of workflow enhancements to increase the accuracy and speed of dialogue editing and mixing, with improved sessional management. One of the most significant improvements can be found within the new automation system, designed for motion picture audio mixing.
The Automation panel now offers more flexible access with a more streamlined vertical layout view and the ability to dock it on the side-bar, which is on the right by default. Also, there is a range of new functionality that lets you select specific parameters by touching plugin controls, as well as automation copying/pasting, Latch Mode track punch out, and improved visual clarity of automation states.
For advanced dialogue analysis, the new Analyzer Track uses processing based on Fraunhofer IDMT technology to give you a precise reading of the intelligibility of dialogue tracks. The Loudness Track has been expanded with green/yellow/red blocks that tell you exactly where there may be issues with the consistency of your dialogue. The analysis can be done in real-time or offline, and you can adjust Dialogue Intelligibility Unit thresholds to correlate with broadcast standards, so there is no guesswork.
In addition, there is a new video export facility with a range of encoding and resolution options, and there is now support for the MXF video format. This means you can import video and audio directly from OP1a devices, which streamlines the workflow. There are also new sound design tools, productivity features, and enhancements like WaveLab Go and Spectralayers Go, so make sure you follow this link to see all the details.
