UJAM Finisher DYNAMO: otherworldly effects without excessive tweaking

UJAM Finisher DYNAMO
Quite appropriate for Halloween, DYNAMO’s theme revolves around surreal transformations as the means to musical results. The audio examples demonstrate this quite vividly, the material being of such varied nature. Vocals, drums, various instruments, even entire mixes can all be DYNAMO-ized. In the background, various effects work in carefully adjusted combinations accessed via presets. While they are there, something interesting is bound to come up while tweaking parameters, so be sure to get to that. As for the available effects, there are 27 algorithms included, ranging between step filters to delays, convolution reverbs, and multi-band distortion. There are 50 multi-effect modes in total.
DYNAMO’s 290+ presets are sorted in 5 categories so that you can find what you’re looking for easily. The Remix category is suitable for entire tracks and mixes. Solo is dedicated to bass or other monophonic sounds. Rhythm is intended for drums and percussion. Sustain is intended to process pads or other tranquil sounds. Finally, Vocal peps up singers. You can also choose between five rhythmic patterns to match to the audio material. The Vari knobs control the corresponding parameters depending on the preset. Basically, it’s the UJAM workflow as usual, but the sounds are something else.
Price and availability
UJAM Finisher DYNAMO works in VST, AU, and AAX plug-in formats under macOS (10.14 or later) and Windows (7 or later). A limited demo version and an online user manual are available on the manufacturer’s website. Until October 31 2021, the introductory price is EUR 69, down from EUR 99. In a bundle with a total of six Finisher plug-ins, the price is EUR 299. Also until October 31 2021, owners of other Finisher plug-ins, such as RETRO, FLUXX, NEO, and VOODOO pay the loyalty price of EUR 49.
