Universal Audio’s UAFX guitar pedal range has expanded today adding the new Galaxy ’74 Tape Echo & Reverb, Del-Verb Ambience Companion and the Max Preamp & Dual Compressor.

The Galaxy ’74 Tape Echo & Reverb aims to capture the warm analogue effects of the classic mid-’70s Roland Space Echo tape effect. Offering digital recreations of multi-head tape delay and with all the flexibility of Univeral Audio’s companion UAFX Control app,

Del-Verb
Next up is the Del-Verb which is based on three classic reverb and three delay effects. It offers access to a ’60s tube amp spring, studio plate, and vintage digital hall reverbs. Along with vintage tape, analogue bucket brigade and studio-grade digital delays.

Max
Finally, the Max Preamp & Dual Compressor offers a suite of what they describe as legendary limiters and an iconic tube preamp.
The compression models on offer include the Teletronix LA-2A, UA 1176, and Dyna Comp. Whilst the preamp is modelled on the 610 tube mic preamp.
The pedal allows you to stack compressors and access preamp EQ settings, serial/parallel operation, and add a sidechain bass filter.

Verdict
All three of these new UAFX offer guitarists some great emulations and having the ability to tweak them further via the smartphone app makes them quite versatile.
