TC Electronic Icon Series plug-in/hardware controller combos on sale for EUR 98

Just in case your wallet hasn’t been completely drained by summer promos, audio effects maker TC Electronic has put its Icon Series plug-in + hardware controller bundles on sale for a pretty ridiculous EUR 98 each. The only exception is the TC 2290-DT reverb which is on sale for EUR 139, down from EUR 199. Still, these are basically plug-in prices for software/hardware combos. Together, they come as close to the real thing as it gets. The only catch is that the controllers double as hardware dongles for the plug-ins – if you don’t have the gear, you can’t use them. TC does sell Native versions of the software, of course, but the current deals only cover the plug-in + hardware bundles.

TC Electronic Icon Series deals

The following products are on sale from TC Electronic dealers such as Thomann:

• The Brickwall HD (affiliate link) is a brick-wall limiter plugin which does both vintage and transparent limiting.
• The TC 1210-DT (affiliate link) is a stereo expander and modulation effect which recreates the TC 1210 hardware.
• The TC 8120-DT (affiliate link) is an algorithmic reverb featuring signature presets from the original TC hardware, such as TC hall, box, ambient, room, club, live, plate, and spring.
• The DYN 3000 (affiliate link) is a dynamics processor with compressor and gate modules derived from Midas mixing desks.
• The DVR 250 (affiliate link) recreates the coveted EMT 250 Electronic Reverberator and TC 6000 units.
• The PEQ 3000 (affiliate link) is a 12-band parametric EQ with Midas console character.
• The Master X HD (affiliate link) is a multiband dynamics processor with expansion, compression, and limiting available for each band.
• The 2290-DT (affiliate link) is a delay that models the TC 2290 studio processor. It’s capable of rhytmic taps, complex delay lines and modulation effects.

If you go all in on these babies, consider throwing the TC Icon Dock in the basket. This unit holds several controllers in a convenient base station that connects to your computer with only a single USB cable. It also makes you look like one of them serious producers.
