Steinberg Cubase 15: More Advanced Production and Mixing Tools
The latest version of the professional DAW system.
Now in version 15, Steinberg Cubase introduces a range of new compositional tools, audio processors, instruments, and content for your workflow.
Cubase remains one of the finest DAW systems available, whether you’re doing pop music production, film scoring, or mixing. With version 15, Steinberg has included a range of improvements and expansions to current features and new elements that keep it on par with other DAW systems.
Steinberg Cubase 15
First on the new feature list is the melodic pattern sequencer, which is available to both Cubase Artist and Pro users. This creative pattern-generating tool has monophonic and polyphonic modes, as well as custom scales, step input, shape generators, and an advanced randomization feature.
Another improvement is a redesigned system for creating expression maps, which integrates with the Key and Score Editors, offering improved articulation control, per-articulation attack compensation, and a streamlined workflow. This new expression maps feature is available to Pro users only, and has probably been requested by the user community.
In addition, Pro users can now enjoy the flexibility of AI-powered step separation, which is ideal for sample-based music producers, remix artists, or engineers who need to rebalance room mic recordings. Meanwhile, Pro, Artist, and Elements users can access the new automation improvements in Cubase. A new automation shortcut feature shows the last used parameter with a simplified menu system for easy editing.
What’s more, when you open Cubase, you’ll notice the new customizable Hub screen that makes finding and managing your projects more efficient. Here, you’ll also find useful audio setup and project preview features, as well as search and filter tools. The Halion Library has also expanded, and Pro and Artist have a new vintage synthesizer instrument called Writing Room Synths.

Now im interested! Might crossover from Logic/ableton/Bitwig to one DAW, finally.
Cubase needs a makeover for the multithreading engine in Windows. It’s one of the most sluggish performing DAWs out there. Until then I’m not upgrading.
A very nice update from Steinberg.
Looking forward to use the new futures.
