Small enough for your backpack, loud enough for busking all day long: the Roland CUBE Street Mini is a battery-powered stereo amp with everything you need for mobile music-making. Whether busking, lessons on the go, café gigs, or living room sessions, this mini amplifier combines mobility with powerful sound.

How did the Roland Cube series come about?

Since its introduction in 2007, Roland has virtually dominated the market for battery-powered amps for busking single-handedly. Before the CUBE series was launched, busking usually meant either going completely acoustic or using car batteries and handcarts.

What started as a small, slanted wedge for guitarists quickly became an all-in-one solution for buskers. Today, apart from Boss loopers, hardly any other equipment is seen as often among buskers and at café sessions. With this model, the manufacturer presents the smallest and most mobile version of its outdoor amps to date.

What does the Roland Cube Street Mini offer?

In terms of speaker configuration, the CUBE Street Mini offers a compact 2.1 stereo system that provides wide dispersion, so it doesn’t sound as “boxy” as many other mini amps. In addition, you can connect a guitar and a microphone or a second instrument simultaneously via the two channels, making the amp ideal for singer/songwriters or duos.

Each channel also offers separate effects: the guitar channel has amp type, reverb, delay, or chorus, while the mic/instrument channel has its own reverb or delay. Particularly useful for solo performers: the integrated looper (up to 45 seconds) and the harmony function.

It analyzes what you play on the guitar in real time and automatically generates harmonies to match your vocals. And with the optional Bluetooth adapter (BT-DUAL), you can stream backing tracks directly from your smartphone.

What I/O does the Cube Street Mini have?

When it comes to I/O, the Cube Street Mini is pretty versatile. There is an XLR channel with EQ and reverb and a dedicated guitar channel with nine different amp models and separate effects. Compared to the larger CUBE Street or Street EX, the Mini does without more extensive amp modeling.

In addition to the connection options and amp modeling, the integrated battery is a big plus. The Cube Street Mini runs for up to 7 hours on a single charge!

While the larger models can almost replace small PA systems, this model is positioned as a more mobile and uncomplicated everyday amp.
