Hold onto your hats, this is a big one. The RANE SYSTEM ONE is a two-deck controller with spinning platters, Engine DJ OS, integrated Stems control and FX, and multi-format support. Is this the best of both worlds?

RANE SYSTEM ONE Is Real

Earlier this month, we reported on a leak for the RANE SYSTEM ONE, a motorized standalone DJ controller. Well, it’s very much real – and very much here. And I have to say, I haven’t been this excited about a DJ release in a very long time.

I won’t cover all the details, as everything that I reported on before is true (see below for that). In a nutshell, this two-deck controller sees RANE putting 7.2-inch aluminum motorized platters onto a standalone controller.

OmniSource System Architecture

As part of the OmniSource system architecture, it lets you DJ music stored on USB drives, SD cards, an internal hard drive (sold separately), streaming services (Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, Beatsource, Beatport, TIDAL, SoundCloud GO+, and Dropbox), and software sources Serato DJ and Algoriddim djay (the latter two in early 2026).

There are also three dedicated Playlist Banks buttons for instant access to saved media, streaming, or Serato playlists.

As mentioned before, SYSTEM ONE runs Engine DJ, which you can access via the 7-inch HD vertical touchscreen with RGB waveforms, while eight OLED displays above the pads provide visual feedback for Hot Cues, Samples, Stems, and Roll divisions.

Stems and FX

RANE has gone all-in on Stems with the new SYSTEM ONE, with Instant Acapella and Instrumental buttons, a dedicated four-part Stems pad mode, and Stem Level EQ control. You can create Stems beforehand using the Engine DJ desktop app, or render them in real-time with the hardware. (Note that onboard Stems rendering is coming in a future firmware update.)

As for FX, there are 25 onboard Main FX spread across six assignable slots, with aluminum toggle activation, five knob-controlled Sweep FX, 10 on-screen Touch FX, and four fader-activated Fader FX. Of course, you can also use the effects algorithms in Serato.

There’s also a built-in sampler with dedicated pad mode and a front panel volume control knob.

Connectivity

RANE SYSTEM ONE has all sorts of connectivity as you might expect from a modern standalone DJ controller, including Wi-Fi for streaming, beat-synchronized lighting control, and Bluetooth connectivity for external keyboards.

In terms of inputs, it’s got two XLR combo jack microphone inputs with EQ, Echo and Reverb FX, Duck and Anti-Feedback, USB A, USB-C, SD, and an internal hard drive slot, and Bluetooth/RCA AUX input, plus XLR and RCA main outputs and quarter-inch booth outputs with 10-band software EQ plus a Bluetooth audio output with on-screen volume control.

Pricing and Availability

RANE SYSTEM ONE is available now from Thomann* for €2498. More infos here.

Leak! Is This New Standalone Motorized Controller Real?

[8 January 2026] Ahead of NAMM, we’ve got pictures of a possible RANE SYSTEM ONE standalone DJ controller with motorized platters. I think you better sit down for this.

RANE SYSTEM ONE

NAMM 2026 is coming up fast, so it’s a given that manufacturers are readying their latest and greatest. Today, we’ve got images of a possible new release from RANE showing up on both Reddit and Facebook simultaneously, lending credence to the fact that it could be real. I say “could” though as nothing is confirmed yet.

What’s the leaked product? The RANE SYSTEM ONE, apparently a two-deck standalone controller with motorized platters.

RANE SYSTEM ONE: Plenty of Support

First, we got images of two boxes leaked from Guitar Center appearing on Reddit (the linked URL is in German but hit translate on your browser to read). It says, “2-channel standalone motorized DJ controller w/ built-in FX and stem control.” Very nice.

The boxes also indicate that the RANE SYSTEM ONE will support Denon’s Engine DJ plus Serato, as you might expect from a RANE controller. It also lists WiFi and Bluetooth, as well as streaming support for Apple Music, Amazon Music, Beatsource, Beatport, Soundcloud and Tidal.

RANE SYSTEM ONE: Platters That Matter

Over on Facebook, we’ve got a supposed image of the device itself. It’s cropped on the sides and not the best quality, but it reveals a standalone two-deck controller with clear design cues from the recent ONE MKII, although it’s black and not white (but as Michael Jackson said, that doesn’t matter).

Clues we can glean from the image include a portrait-oriented screen in the center with vertical waveforms, a Mag Four crossfader logo, and both Serato and Engine DJ logos. Both RANE and Denon are part of the inMusic group; it makes sense that there would be cross-platform integration like this.

RANE SYSTEM ONE: Pricing and Availability

Of course, this is all conjecture. Nothing about this has been confirmed, so of course no pricing or availability information. NAMM 2026 starts on January 20. Hopefully, we’ll have a proper announcement about this RANE SYSTEM ONE before then, one way or another.
