PRS SE Upgrades, plus SE Chleo Herman Li Signature
PRS SE line expands and upgrades for their 40th anniversary
PRS is giving some SE models a few upgrades and is also adding the new SE Chleo Herman Li Signature to the series. This 40th Anniversary year has certainly been good for anyone looking at the more affordable SE line, especially with these new releases.
PRS SE Chleo Herman Li Signature
The PRS SE Chleo Herman Li is the newest addition to the PRS SE family. It features the same highly acclaimed Fishman Fluence Signature Series Omniforce Herman Li pickups as its significantly more expensive and limited-run Core model.
With a versatile switching system, the guitar allows for up to 13 different tonal combinations.
Sleek Shred
The SE Chleo Herman Li features a beautiful maple top and mahogany body, complemented by a maple neck and ebony fretboard. The neck joint is designed for comfort and speed. The 20-inch fingerboard radius and additional high-modulus carbon fiber reinforcement rods ensure a stable neck and promote sustain.
Naturally, you’ll also find the “Eclipse Dragon” inlays. Equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo and PRS locking nut, it also offers excellent tuning stability.
The SE Chleo Herman Li will soon be available in Charcoal Purple Burst, Orchid Dusk, and the new colour Mantis Burst finish for $2199/£1990/€2249 here at Thomann.

PRS SE DGT Standard
The PRS SE DGT Standard is a slimmed-down version of David Grissom’s signature model. Its body and neck are made of mahogany, and it is priced slightly lower than the SE DGT. Essentially, it has no maple cap and has its own sound.
The SE DGT Standard still offers a versatile control layout, featuring individual volume controls for each pickup, a master tone control with a push/pull coil tap, and a PRS tremolo. Available in Vintage Cherry and McCarty Tobacco Sunburst finishes.
You can get these models soon here at Thomann for the attractive price of $933/£843/€949.

PRS SE CE 24 Standard Stoptail Satin
The new PRS SE CE 24 Standard Stoptail Satin is now equipped, as the name suggests, with a PRS stoptail bridge with brass inserts. The pickups are two PRS 85/15 “S” models on these, so lots of good tones are available.
The result is a surprisingly affordable version of this series, as you can get the guitars in four colours: Ice Blue Metallic, Metallic Gold, Vintage Cherry, and Charcoal, starting at just $589/£532/€599 here at Thomann.

New PRS SE Hollowbody models
PRS has also made improvements to its hollowbody models. However, the main change here is the manufacturing process. The middle section is now carved from solid mahogany, giving the body a “fully PRS” shape.
This construction method also offers more color options. This is why a Vintage Sunburst finish has been added to the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo product line. The hollowbody models are available here at Thomann. Prices start from $1179/£1063/€1199 and go up to $1769/£1590/€1799.
