Reactor

This new line of Positive Grid Reactor combo amps is designed for stage and studio, available on launch in 50W and 100W versions loaded with a custom-voiced 12″ speaker. The cabs are made of wood, so these models should be perfect for gigs and sturdy enough to take to the studio to lay down tracks.

They come with 24 amplifier models and 27 onboard effects, and can run up to 8 effects simultaneously.

Both amps are the same in terms of features and layout; the 100W model just has more clean headroom and volume.

Amp Intelligence

Reactor’s Amp Intelligence uses circuit-level analysis to replicate the distinct characteristics of over 200 classic amplifiers. By measuring components like gain stages, transformers, bias points, and harmonic response, the system accurately reproduces the sound and dynamic behaviour of the original hardware.

Reactor Control Footswitch

The Reactor Control Footswitch is sold separately and allows users to access the amp’s various tones, effects, etc. It has six buttons and can be connected via a wired or wireless connection. Possibly an accessory that you will require to get the most out of these amps in a live situation. They also support expression pedal input.

Creator Hub’s Tone Capture

This is the part most users can really experiment with, as it gives you access to the AI tone creation side of these amps. For example, it allows you to upload an audio sample, and the engine recreates the exact guitar tone.

Or you could upload a photo of a pedalboard rig or an amp, and it will translate that image data into a digital signal, which is impressive if it works well.

Finally, you can type descriptions, and it will generate the tone you have described. So text in the style, artist name, etc., and it will design that tone for you!

Tone Memory

Tone Memory learns your preferred amp settings, EQ and then uses these to adjust the tone engine to your tastes.

The amp has a USB-C audio interface output (24-bit/48kHz), a cab-emulated line out, a power amp input (for using with external amp modellers), an effects loop, a MIDI input, and a headphone output. WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity are built in for app connectivity and any future updates to firmware.
