100 Free Presets for Arturia Pigments 7 by Mushroom Sounds

Pigments 7 is a sound designer’s dream with all of its amazing synth engines, modulation possibilities and powerful effects. It really is incredibly easy to get lost in it, but all of that capability might be daunting for some.

One of the best ways to learn a new synth is to ‘reverse engineer’ existing sounds. By finding out how specific patches work, it can lead to designing your own unique creations and, in turn, help you fathom the ins and outs of that synth.

Sure, Pigments comes with a wealth of built-in factory presets, but another 100 wouldn’t go amiss, so why not take advantage of Mushroom Sounds offer of 100 free presets for Pigments 7. You’ve got nothing to lose!

But if, like me, you don’t always have time to spend on designing your own patches, having another 100 to choose from when trying to compose is incredibly welcome, especially when they’re as good as the ones on offer here!

These 100 free Pigments presets are available to download straight from the Mushroom Sounds website. There are versions for both Pigments 7 and for Analog Lab if that’s how you like to access your copy of Pigments.

Wind Cipher for Kilohearts Phase Plant by usefull

Kilohearts’ Phase Plant is a brilliant software synth. Its modular architecture allows for almost endless possibilities, and with the ability to choose from traditional waveforms, wavetables, samples and noise sources, this synth goes deep.

Similarly, the modulation capabilities are incredible and empower you to create anything from the simplest to the most utterly complex tones. Its MPE capabilities then allow you to harness all these features and use them for maximum expression.

Now we have a bank of 50 new sounds from ‘usefull’, courtesy of the Anton Anru store, that give us some rhythm-heavy presets to play with. There’s a big emphasis on texture, grit and distortion, so if that’s your thing, you’re in for a treat.

More Information

Each preset features 8 patch-specific macros for altering the sound to your taste in a quick and simple way. Whether it’s bringing in more noise or doing the exact opposite and cleaning things up, these macros are great for live performances too.

Neon Heart for Waldrof Iridium by LFO.store

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Synthwave and all its associated genres. When I first discovered the scene many years ago, I felt I’d found a home. As a raging nostalgist, an 80s teen and lover of all things synth, the scene spoke to me.

It wasn’t too long before it became over-populated, derivative and just plain boring. I grew increasingly tired of having to sift through hundreds of tracks and artists just to find something that was both original and gave me those deep 80s feels.

Stranger Things, with its amazing soundtrack, briefly rekindled the flame, but I still approach anything claiming to be in that genre with some trepidation. So, here’s my challenge to you. If you have a Waldorf Iridium or Iridium Core, why not grab this bank from LFO.store and compose something to change my mind!

The name is soooo Synthwave, as are the graphics, but I have to say, the Iridium has been put through its paces very well with these sounds. Waldorf has really been bringing wavetables back, and blending them, as the Iridium does, with virtual analog and sampling, makes the Iridium a great 80s time machine if you want it to be!

More Information

There’s obviously way more to the Iridium than this, but this sound bank is pure 80s and is great for retro fans, composer of 80s adjacent cinematic scores and video games. Lots of great pads and sequences that push all those arcade buttons.

Neon Heart is just €15 from the LFO.store!
