The LMC (Listen Mic Compressor) is classic SSL console heritage. The British manufacturer likes to pay homage by including it in its modern products. The SSL SiX mixer rendition of the circuit and its covert inclusion into the SSL Fusion analog processor are great examples. But the best example has to be the enhanced emulation of the Listen Mic Compressor.
Newly added features to the original circuit include toggable external sidechain, high and low-pass filters, Scoop and Split switches, and a parallel compression knob. Using the compressor itself is still very simple – adjust levels and the Amount knob to taste.

Perfect Plate XL is an expanded version of developer denise’s plate reverb plug-in. The effect is powered by proprietary TXVerb technology developed to deliver ‘very natural’ plate reverb sounds. Compared to the original version, Perfect Room XL also features three new parameters to tinker with – Reso, Drive and Rotate. Another addition is a six-band equalizer. Both reverbs can be lush and dense, or resonant and metallic. They are currently on sale at 60% off.

Acon Digital’s Restoration Suite 2 is an affordable collection of four plug-ins developed for audio restoration and noise reduction. It consists of DeNoise 2, DeClick 2, DeHum 2, and DeClip 2.
DeNoise 2 is meant to reduce noise such as hiss, wind noise, buzz, and camera noise. Noise can be reduced automatically (in Adaptive mode) or after measuring the characteristics of the noise (in Noise profile) mode.
DeHum 2 deals with the kind of hum and buzz typically caused by poorly grounded electrical equipment or electrical motor noise.
DeClick 2 removes impulsive noise such as clicks, crackles, and thumps. Such distortions are prevalent on LP and 78 RPM records, but also occur in digital recordings due to drop-outs or distorted data packets.
Finally, DeClip 2 restores audio recordings distorted by analog or digital clipping.
