Minimal Audio has released Morph EQ. The “Expressive EQ Designer” plug-in lets you go wild with drawable morph paths, macro controls, and extensive stereo effects. If you’re into creative equalization and filtering with plenty of movement, Morph EQ could be right up your alley.

Minimal Audio first introduced itself with the fantastic Rift Multi-FX plug-in, which blew our minds with an abundance of modulation, movement, and good ideas. And the developer’s latest release Morph EQ looks no less innovative and creative.
At its core, Morph EQ is an equalizer plug-in with a choice of seven different filter types, which you can mix and match as you see fit. Each individual filter can operate in mono, stereo, or mid-side modes, which opens up the door to many creative stereo effects. You can also arrange the filters in serial and parallel configurations. Like most modern EQ plug-ins, Morph EQ also offers a built-in spectrum analyzer that shows you what’s going on.

However, the real fun begins when you dive into Morph EQ’s extensive morphing and real-time control features. The Morph feature allows you to draw your own custom morphing paths, which you can then navigate with a single knob. Moreover, the plug-in offers built-in macro control over all parameters, including morphing, filter cutoff, and stereo movement. Along with an Adaptive Q mode for analog-inspired resonances, this lets you create real-time effects that go well beyond basic equalization.
If you’re like me, you’ve probably already got more EQs than you can keep track of. However, Minimal Audio Morph EQ looks like a plug-in you don’t want to miss if you’re into creative equalization and filtering. It comes with more than 100 presets, which you can use as a starting point for your own experiments.

The plug-in runs on macOS 10.9 or higher and Windows 10 or higher. It’s available in AU, VST, VST3, and AAX formats (64 bit).
