Marcus Miller F10-DX: Beautiful Boutique Basses for a Non-Boutique Price
The finest ingredients and fantastic sound!

Marcus Miller basses are among the best for value for money. You get a lot of bass for your money, just like Larry Carlton guitars. However, something very special will be presented at NAMM 2026: the Marcus Miller F10-DX. The model comes with a price tag that is unusually high, even for Marcus Miller models. But here, Sire aiming for an entirely different category: boutique basses! And we’re usually talking about completely different prices here.
What makes the Marcus Miller F10-DX so special?
Would you look at those basses! Their body design is among the most elegant we’ve ever seen from Sire. The manufacturer uses swamp ash for the Marcus Miller F10-DX’s body, while the visually striking top is made of spalted maple. But it doesn’t just look good, it sounds amazing, too.

And without a pickguard in the way, this natural, grainy look can take center stage. Even the pickup covers have wooden covers! The second special feature is a continuous neck construction (C profile).
The five-piece maple and mahogany neck comes with an ebony fingerboard and 24 stainless steel frets. The neck-through design allows for unhindered soloing, easy chord voicings or wide jumps on the fretboard (with the appropriate practice, of course).
Active Bass
But that’s not all. The bass’s dimensions are a 35″ scale length, a 1.77″ nut width, and a 12″ fretboard radius. The aforementioned pickups mentioned are two Marcus Custom H Revolution humbuckers, which should provide plenty of punch and definition in the signal.

However, sire has also equipped the Marcus Miller F10-DX with a Marcus Heritage-3 HD preamp. This not only effectively amplifies the signal but also allows it to be precisely adjusted to your preferences with a three-band EQ.
In addition to the three EQ controls (treble, middle/frequency, bass), there is a control for blending the pickup signals (blender), as well as a tone and volume control and a three-way switch. And the hardware comes in satin black to beautifully contrast with the natural look.
Regarding that, the Marcus Miller F10-DX comes with a Marcus Heavymass Custom Bridge and high-quality die-cast tuners, which perfectly round off the overall very elegant impression.
How much do the Marcus Miller F10-DX basses cost?
Sire has announced models with 4, 5, and 6 strings, as well as headless variations.
The first models have already arrived at Thomann* and they are priced between €1,799.00 and €1,999.00. A softlight case is included with every order, but you’ll have to wait a few months for the basses to be available.
