AKAI MPC Live 2, firmware update 2.8 announced

Following this March’s Reddit leak and another leak of a 25-minute video presentation, the AKAI MPC Live 2 has become reality. The announcement confirms most of the new features which we knew about in advance, such as:
- 8 assignable CV/Gate outputs on the rear panel
- Master volume knob
- New shortcut buttons (Mute, Time Correct, Mix and others)
- Built-in stereo monitor speakers
The MPC Software update 2.8 is a big one with the induction of MIDI Multi capability, which enables connection to class-compliant USB keyboards, MIDI interfaces and USB to CV modules as well as internal MIDI routing.

The MPC Live 2 and MPC Software update 2.8 are available now. The unit is priced USD 1,120.
