The HK Audio LUNAR and PORTABLE SUB are two new series of full-range loudspeakers and subwoofers for live music events and sound reinforcement.
German manufacturer HK Audio specializes in PA systems for performing artists, DJs, gear rental companies, music events, and venues, with a range of solutions for productions of different scales.
HK Audio LUNAR and PORTABLE SUB
These two new series are designed to work independently or in tandem, as the PORTABLE SUB has a specific voicing mode for the LUNAR series loudspeakers, as well as the SONAR and POLAR systems, and there’s also a general-purpose 100 Hz low-pass filter mode. The LUNAR series consists of full-range speakers in three different sizes, including 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch models.
All amplifiers are Class-D, rated at 600W RMS, and the speakers can be configured as full-range FOH PA speakers, stage monitor wedges, or used with subwoofers to cover the midrange and high frequencies exclusively. To ensure that the setup is as quick and as easy as possible, there are four different voicing presets for music, external sub, stage monitor, and speech modes.
Each speaker is equipped with 32-bit DSP processing, including FIR filters and phase optimization features to ensure the system plays back as accurately as possible for the configuration and chosen application. In addition, the Bluetooth connectivity allows True Wireless Stereo (TWS), which makes small-scale event setups a breeze.
Meanwhile, the PORTABLE SUB series consists of two models: a 15-inch and an 18-inch version, designed to add a low-end foundation to a range of HK Audio loudspeaker systems and other manufacturers, too. With an integrated stereo preamp, you can easily build a 2.1 system, which is ideal for mobile DJs and live musicians.
