MultiScale Madness

If you are looking for a reasonably priced multi-scale instrument, then the new MultiScale series from Harley Benton might just be what you’re looking for. The specs for all models are the same, where they differ is the number of strings. The main body material is basswood with a fancy looking quilt maple veneer, giving it a touch of class. This is already a proven combination among many companies, including Ibanez and EVH, so it is great to see it at these price points. The neck is a sturdy five-piece maple/nato affair with 24 medium jumbo fanned frets on a jatoba fretboard.

Roswell loaded

Each model comes loaded with a set of Roswell PFH7 ferrite magnet humbucking pickups, available in both 7 string and 8 string variants. These are wired via a single volume and tone control with a three-way switch. Other hardware includes WSC locking tuners, a black graphite nut and mono-rail bridge. The 7 string models are available in either Black Satin Burst or Trans Red, while the 8 string is offered in Black Satin Burst or Emerald Burst finishes.

If you are after a multi-scale guitar, then for the money, these new Harley Benton models deserve serious consideration.

I am really very excited to Look forward what the postman will bring tomorrow in my house here in the nice Odenwald /Germany. Cutting trees with this axe will, so I hope – no problem. Because I have never had a 8 string killer machine my own, and honestly I have never played any of these 8 strings. My first 7 string I own was an ESP I bought in the mid 90ties, long time ago, and I still have it. A good decision, it’s like a marriage, noone will devide us until death. But only one woman is not enough. Like in some religions men needs more women, so the same here. This razorblade has one more string, deeper harder and full of power? We will see what happens tomorrow…… Can’t wait today, but time is running and in the meantime I enjoy to be excited.
