The GTRS S900 Intelligent Guitar by Mooer has just been overhauled and updated. Adding a built-in wireless transmitter and upgraded to Alnico V pickups and rosewood fretboards. Introduced in 2021 the Intelligent Guitar system is evolving.

These Mooer GTRS S900 Intelligent Guitars come with a basswood body, a one-piece roasted maple neck with a new rosewood fretboard and a neat matching painted headstock. The C-shape neck has 22 frets with a flattish modern 12” radius fretboard profile and a smooth satin finish on the back of the neck, plus a bone nut.
It is now available in Pearl Black, Pearl White, Racing Green and Plum Purple finishes. They all come with gold hardware, including the pickguard.

Super Knob
They have an HSS pickup configuration with their own brand Alnico V single-coils and an HM-1B humbucker in the bridge position. This new pickup upgrade should be a nice update for the model and help offer some classic guitar tones.
The wiring includes a five-way pickup selector and typical Tone, Volume controls along with the Super Knob feature that controls the ‘Intelligent’ functions. This gives players a choice of four programmable tone presets.

Wireless Upgrade
The major upgrade is the new GTRS UHF Wireless transmitter, which transmits to the GTRS app and offers the ability to go cable-less at last. Allowing guitarists to build, edit and control tonal presets from a selection of 11 guitar profiles, 126 effects and an 80-second looper. It also contains a tuner, metronome and drum machine.
Rechargeable
The GTRS S900 contains a five-hour lithium-ion rechargeable battery and has a USB-C connection for direct recording. Along with a standard 1/4” output that can be used directly with headphones for silent practice.
The Intelligent Guitar system appears to be evolving quite rapidly and could be a great option for some musicians. Thankfully, the pricing is pretty reasonable as well, especially with all these new upgrades.
