Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Raven
It’s rare to see Metallica’s lead guitarist with an acoustic guitar, a rather unusual sight. Nevertheless, the Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Raven is the result of a creative collaboration between Kirk Hammett and Gibson Custom Shop. It’s an artistic reinterpretation of the iconic Hummingbird silhouette, and it turned out beautiful.
Attention to detail
The acoustic guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top and a solid mahogany body, producing a very warm and harmonious sound. With its Advanced X-Bracing, the Kirk Hammett Raven guarantees excellent resonance and durability.
Visually, the Kirk Hammett Raven also stands out with a striking raven skull inlay on the headstock and a so-called Dual KH Raven pickguard, adorned with an impressive raven motif. Another visual highlight, the ebony fingerboard sports stylish star inlays.
With regards to hardware, Grover Rotomatics tuners and a bone saddle underline the Custom Shop quality. And for stage and studio applications, the Raven is also equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ Element VTC +4 system, which offers natural sound pickup.
Limited Edition
Only 100 of these have been handmade in Bozeman, Montana, making the Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Raven a rare collector’s item. Kirk Hammett has even signed each one on the soundhole label. Finally, the Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Raven comes in a black Gibson Custom hard case, which includes a certificate of authenticity and a special belt.
