This 20-watt tube amplifier offers the perfect combination of traditional vintage sound and modern technology that many guitarists demand today. It provides a versatile, portable solution with a genuine ENGL sound. Its compact lunchbox design and modern features are in keeping with the times.
The RAVAGER uses a combination of 12AX7/ECC83 tubes in the preamp and EL84 tubes in the power amp. With its two-channel design and clearly laid out controls, the amp is easy to use. You won’t find any mini toggle switches for fine-tuning the sound here. In this respect, the Ravager IR is almost boringly traditional in its design.
IR-OUT and Power Soak
This is where the Ravager becomes modern. The integrated IR loader provides up to four impulse responses, three of which can be easily loaded via USB. These responses are selected using a control on the rear panel.
Naturally, the amplifier is equipped with an XLR output, which is ideal for live and studio applications. There is also a headphone output.
On the back of the amp, you will also find convenient access to the integrated power soak function. The output power is reduced in four stages (20 watts, 5 watts, 1 watt, and speaker off) to produce an even sound at lower volumes. This allows you to find the Ravanger’s sweet spot at any volume.
