NAMM 2023: Endorphin.es Golden Master and Ghost become pedals
Endophin.es announces the Golden Master and Ghost pedals in a first foray into floor-based and desktop effects processing.
Endorphin.es does pedals
It’s really interesting how Eurorack and pedals enjoy a sort of symbiotic relationship. They dabble in each other’s worlds, broaden the market, and we all end up benefiting. Although I do get this feeling that the more complex pedals get the less they spend under our feet. This means we end up with pedals on our desktops with clunky buttons.
Golden Master
Based on the Golden Master Eurorack module, the Golden Master Pedal is a multiband compressor with EQ, mid-side processing, and stereo enhancement. It has stereo in and out and an input for an expression pedal. Each band gets a compression knob along with a global threshold.
Ultimately it will sit on the end of your chain of sounds giving it energy and making it sound fabulous. It can also be used as a DI box.
Ghost
Ghost is a multi-dimensional effects chain processor designed with super producer and YouTuber Andrew Huang. In pedal form, it relaxes the cramped feel of the Eurorack module and lays it all out much more logically. I confess that the Ghost module bamboozled me with its packed-in functionality, so this looks much better.
The Ghost Pedal has line and a JFET guitar input with cabinet simulation. Then you’ve got a Reverb, Filter, Distortion and internal LFO for modulation. The reverb features a freeze option, delay looper, comb with resonator, and spring mode with virtual spring excitement.
It’s MIDI controllable, and you can assign the expression pedal to all sorts of parameters. And you have the ability to set all sorts of routing options.
Ghost is really good in a pedal.
Availability
Both pedals are due to be released in the autumn, but you can check them out at the Endorphin.es booth #10900.
