Take USB MIDI, for example. Designed to send MIDI messages over the same cable you use with your computer, it’s all fine and dandy unless you don’t want to use a computer at all. How is the average DAWless warrior supposed to play one of the modern, small instruments that only come with USB MIDI?
Leave it to Behringer to provide a solution. And that would be the Behringer Go MIDI Host, a MIDI interface to convert USB MIDI to five-pin DIN MIDI.
No Muss No Fuss
The Behringer Go MIDI Host is simplicity itself. The tiny box offers five-pin DIN MIDI in and out ports on one side, and USB-C power and MIDI data ports on the other. That’s it.
The tiny MIDI interface is class-compliant, meaning it doesn’t require drivers or software to work. Just plug it in and you’re on your way. It’s also bus-powered, so all you need is some kind of USB power to get it up and running.

Along with playing DIN-less MIDI devices from a USB controller sans computer, other possibilities include remote-controlling the knobs on a MIDI mixer from a controller, or even getting around the loss of compatibility with older devices, a near-constant problem for Mac users.
