The Apple AirPods Pro 3 Have Been Unveiled!
There was some exciting news for all Apple fans at last big event. Alongside the new iPhone 17 and the latest Apple Watch, the Apple AirPods Pro 3 were unveiled – the new earbuds boast a range of fresh features.
First and foremost, the AirPods Pro 3 improve three-dimensional sound for spatial audio and have further optimised ANC. They are also said to be the best AirPods yet. According to Apple, the ANC is four times more effective than the original model and is the world’s best active noise cancellation for earbuds.

In addition, the new processor, combined with Apple Intelligence, enables real-time translations. If the other party is also using AirPods Pro 3, they can speak (iPhone must be connected) in their own language. Are we one step closer to Star Trek technology? For now, this feature is only available in beta and in English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish. Support for Italian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese is set to follow by the end of the year. It’s an exciting glimpse into the future!
Of course, the new earbuds must be used with an iPhone, which displays translations in writing in horizontal mode. The hearing aid function has also been expanded to offer a hearing test, for example.
The Apple AirPods Pro 3 now fit even more comfortably thanks to improved wearing comfort. To this end, the design has been optimised and now includes a total of five silicone tips to accommodate different ear sizes. The new earbuds also function as hearing protection when needed thanks to their improved insulation.
The small earbuds also have an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance – a first for AirPods. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the even better connection to Apple Fitness, as well as the heart rate sensor and additional fitness data provided by the new PPG sensor.

One charge of the Apple AirPods Pro 3 provides up to eight hours of playback with active noise cancellation (ANC) enabled, or up to ten hours with transparency mode and hearing aid mode enabled.
Priced at $249, the new earbuds will be available from 19 September 2025.
