AlphaTheta RMX-IGNITE: The Successor to the RMX-1000 – the New Standard for DJ Effects?
This Tool Aims to Redefine DJ Performances

More than ten years after the legendary RMX-1000, AlphaTheta is launching a new effects device, the RMX-IGNITE, which opens up a new level of creative freedom for DJs. The concept is familiar, but everything is more modern and versatile, and the sound quality is significantly higher. The RMX-IGNITE is not just an improvement on the original, but a completely new design that builds on AlphaTheta’s classic approach of intuitive control, high-quality sound, and visual performance. It allows DJs to perform as if they could physically shape their music – from the stage to the livestream.
All About AlphaTheta RMX-IGNITE
AlphaTheta RMX-IGNITE: The Comeback of the Legendary DJ effects Unit
The RMX-IGNITE combines effects and functions specially tailored for live use. At its heart is the three-band FX section, which allows two types of effects to be combined: “Lever FX” for spontaneous effects play and “Isolate FX” for transitions. Both can be applied independently to the treble, midrange, and bass ranges, creating dynamic sound transitions that are instantly catchy. Three large levers control effects such as echo, reverb, and reverse, while Isolate FX uses controls for tape echo, drive, and filter. This physical control is part of the show because the audience sees what the DJ hears. The distinctive movements of the levers and knobs thus become a visual part of the performance, similar to playing an instrument.
However, AlphaTheta developed the RMX-IGNITE for more than just spectacular effects. The integrated sampler section opens up new possibilities for incorporating your own sounds and loops into your DJ sets. Twenty sounds from Loopcloud are integrated from the factory and ready to use. With the RMX-IGNITE Sample Manager software, you can load your own samples and integrate them directly into your performance via USB or PRO DJ LINK. The new Groove Roll function is particularly interesting, as it allows you to create rolling rhythms and smooth transitions. Adding further rhythmic accents is as easy as pressing several pads simultaneously.

AlphaTheta Brings Movement to Sound
The four large sample pads with bright LED lighting respond precisely and are perfect for live remixes, overdub loops, or spontaneous fills. Sampler Color FX lets you refine sounds with just one knob, adding effects such as echo, filter, pitch, or swing. Meanwhile, the new multicolor display lets you keep an eye on all parameters, BPM information, effects, and levels. Operation remains smooth and direct, which is particularly advantageous in hectic live situations. The RMX-IGNITE can be seamlessly integrated into professional setups with the DJM-A9 or DJM-V10 via digital send/return connections (USB). With PRO DJ LINK support, the device automatically synchronizes with the BPM and grid information from the players so that everything stays in perfect time.
The RMX-IGNITE is also in a league of its own when it comes to sound quality. Its newly developed signal architecture uses 96 kHz/64-bit DSPs and high-quality ESS converters for greater transparency and headroom. AlphaTheta tested and fine-tuned the device under real club conditions to achieve powerful yet natural sound. The result is an effects device that moves seamlessly between DJ performance and professional studio quality. The RMX-IGNITE pays tribute to the RMX-1000 while evolving it: it is intuitive, powerful, and visually impressive.
