Flamma Tone Go: 119€ Practice Amp That Loads NAM A2 Captures
Bluetooth, looper, battery, headphone output - is this the practice amp to beat?
The Flamma Tone GO packs a ridiculous amount of features for this price point. It loads NAM A2 captures, comes with a built-in 5-hour battery, looper, color display, Bluetooth, and stereo out: all for just 119 euros. What a time to be a guitar player!

My first impression
On paper, the Flamma Tone Go sounds almost too good to be true. Sure, at this price point, neither the effects nor the build quality will make this a pro, tour-ready multi-effect. But NAM A2, battery, Bluetooth, color display for 119 euros? Come on!
I repeatedly checked whether this wasn’t 199 euros when I read about the product, but it’s real. However, both the manual and product page are a bit vague about NAM, but I’m pretty sure NAM A2 profiles will be converted through the companion app. Which is a bit of a shame, but still, at this price point, you can’t really complain.
What is the Flamma Tone Go?
The Flamma Tone Go is a portable multi-effect and pedal amp in a practice amp format. It also comes with built-in speakers, so you can rock out to your jams at home without needing an additional amp. Two 2″ drivers deliver 10 watts in stereo. The Tone Go also comes with a 2600 mAh battery that lasts up to five hours.
So, you can just take your guitar, throw a cable and the Tone Go into your bag, and off you go. For creating your own rigs, the pedal comes with 170 effect simulations you can use in up to nine blocks per virtual rig (eight can be active per preset).
The Tone Go features extensive options through its companion app (see below), but you already get direct access to six presets on the pedal through the three footswitches. To see what’s happening, the pedal also comes with a 2″ color display.
NAM, IR loading, and AI Assistant
The manufacturer vaguely says “full support for NAM A2 profile loading,” without mentioning whether it’s A2 Lite or A2 Full. In this case, I’d assume that the Flamma Tone Go uses converted captures, but it might also be that it directly loads NAM A2 lite. Either way, you load a NAM A2 profile into Flamma’s desktop software for macOS and Windows to then put it on the Tone Go.
It offers 20 slots in the amp block. For the cab block, you also get 20 slots to store your own IRs. There is also an AI assistant you can use through Flamma’s companion app for iOS and Android that supports prompting rigs. We’ve now seen this in many budget products as way to give you starting points for creating guitar tones for famous songs and players.
Looper and Interface
But that is far from it. Since the Flamma Tone Go is meant to be a practice amp first, it also features a metronome, a drum machine with 40 patterns, and a built-in looper. The stereo looper can store up to 80 seconds of audio. Perfect for jamming!
The Tone Go also comes with two USB-C ports, one for charging and one for connecting it to your computer. Once connected, the pedal also doubles as an audio interface. It allows OTG recording so you can even hook it up to your phone and record into any mobile DAW or recorder.
For I/O, the Tone Go features a mono input, stereo outputs, Bluetooth audio for wireless streaming songs to it, and a headphone output.
Price and Availability
The Flamma Tone Go costs €119 / £101 at Thomann*. Thomann currently lists delivery in six to eight weeks. Fingers crossed that it’ll be released in the US as well.
