Vengeance Sound just released Q4ntum, a new multi-effect plugin built around three fully independent delay engines that can also work as standalone live FX processors. Each engine handles up to three simultaneous insert effects, and a master section adds three more effects on top, plus its own reverb and a limiter. Q4ntum costs €89 and is available right now.

Four Processing Layers, 12 FX Slots Total
Q4ntum splits into four layers: three full delay layers plus a dedicated master layer. Each of the three delay layers packs three independent FX slots, and the master layer throws in three more on top of that, twelve FX slots total. Every single slot gives you access to 27 different effects, so each delay’s feedback chain can get shaped completely on its own terms. That’s a genuinely deep well to draw from.
Each of the three delay engines comes loaded with its own parameters: input strength, Normal, Ping-Pong, and Cross delay modes, delay time, feedback with a feedback filter featuring Ghost Q, stereo drift and shift, plus vibrato. What’s genuinely cool here is that effects can sit directly inside the feedback loop, everything from subtle coloration to completely sprawling, ever-evolving feedback structures becomes possible. And this thing keeps piling on more.
Modulation and a Retrigger System at the Core
What actually sets Q4ntum apart from other multi-effects is the modulation system, the same philosophy that shows up in Avenger 2. Every parameter can be animated either through a tempo-synced step sequencer or a flexible n-point envelope, both locked tight to your DAW’s tempo. Each FX slot also carries its own modulation system, choosing between Trancegate and Envelope, again running tempo-synced at different rates.
Every delay layer can also flip into FX-only mode, which disables the actual delay while keeping the three FX slots and the modulation system fully active, turning the layer into a standalone rhythmic multi-effect processor. Genuinely flexible way to handle it.
For live situations, Q4ntum brings a solid retrigger system with two modes: Live Play detects transients in real time for spontaneous playing, complete with an adjustable cooldown to stop unwanted repeat triggers. DAW Sync works off the timeline instead, with freely placeable retrigger points, giving you exact control over when the delay system resets during playback. And we’re still not done here.
Master Section and Routing
Beyond the three extra FX slots, the master layer packs a built-in master reverb that any of the three delay layers can feed into individually. There’s also a wet signal maximizer for extra density and perceived loudness, a built-in master sidechain, and additional L/R offset and vibrato controls.
The three delay engines can also route directly into each other from the global header, opening up serial and interconnected signal structures. A global mix control gives you instant access to the entire dry/wet balance.
Presets and System Requirements
Q4ntum ships with 673 factory presets covering delay, rhythmic, modulation, spatial, and sound-design use cases. The plugin runs as VST3, AU, and AAX in 64-bit. On Windows, you’ll need at least an Intel Core running 2.8GHz with AVX support, 16GB RAM, and Windows 11. On macOS, that’s a minimum of 2.8GHz Intel or Apple Silicon, also 16GB RAM, running macOS 10.14 or later.

The FX-only mode and the live-focused retrigger system especially make this interesting for performers too, not just studio work. Honestly, that’s a smart way to design this thing.
Whether the complexity here actually stays intuitive and varied in daily use, as Vengeance Sound claims, is something we’ll only know once we’ve properly put it through its paces. 673 presets is definitely enough starting material to spend an afternoon just listening through.
